Patch Management Technician (Hybrid - Connecticut)
The Knights of Columbus is a tax-exempt Catholic fraternal benefit society that provides financial security to its members. The Patch Management Technician role is essential for maintaining the security and compliance of the IT environment by ensuring timely patching of workstations, servers, applications, and systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute patching activities across Windows, Linux, and other operating systems
Apply updates to enterprise applications, third-party software, and system components
Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to schedule and validate patch deployments
Monitor patch compliance and generate reports for internal stakeholders and audits
Troubleshoot patch-related issues and escalate as needed
Maintain patch management tools and automation scripts
Stay current with vendor patch releases, security advisories, and industry best practices
Assist in developing and refining patch management policies and procedures
Support vulnerability remediation efforts in collaboration with the information security team
Qualification
Required

Must proactively plan for upgrades within and outside the corporate domain (ex. Microsoft OS, MacOS, SCCM, Azure, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge to other staff
Demonstrated working knowledge of moderately complex to complex hardware and software products
Service Management systems
Remote support tools (i.e., Bomgar)
Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in systems administration or IT operations with a focus on patch management
MCSE or equivalent professional certification
Preferred
BS in Computer Science preferred
A+, Network+; Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician (MCDT) certificate desirable
Current ITIL Foundations certificate
