Responsibilities
Enter inventory-related transactions into Sedona, ensuring accuracy of item codes, quantities, and cost assignments
Must know purchase orders, vendor invoices, and receiving documents to ensure proper expense recognition. Purchase order with Excel
Record inventory adjustments, transfers, and returns between job sites and storage locations
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in billing or material receipts
Assist with month-end close, including COGS and inventory reconciliation reports
Prepare reports for the Controller on open POs, pending receipts, and job-related cost allocations
Maintain documentation for all inventory purchases and usage for audit and compliance purposes
Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and Installations team to ensure all material movements are accurately reflected in both warehouse logs and Sedona
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits, reconciling system variances
Verify that parts, cameras, NVRs, cabling, and other materials issued to jobs are logged to the correct job numbers and cost codes
Support procurement in tracking backordered or delayed shipments from vendors
Identify and document damaged, obsolete, or missing inventory
Qualification
Required
Education: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
Experience: 1–3 years in accounting or inventory support; experience in construction, electrical, or low-voltage industries highly preferred
Familiarity with Sedona Office or similar job-costing software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a warehouse/office environment
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed for inventory verification
Frequent walking between office, warehouse, and shipping/receiving areas
