Responsibilities
Provides mid-level Human Resources support, including benefits counseling, processing HR actions (e.g., FEGLI, FEHB administration), and assisting with new hire orientation and separation processing
Responds to HR inquiries and helps maintain HR records and systems
May serve as Telework/Remote Work Coordinator or Wellness Program Administrator
Staffing, classification, employee relations, benefits administration
Qualification
Required
4–6 years HR experience in federal environment
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field + 3 years relevant HR experience
Equivalency: Associate's Degree + 5 years relevant HR experience; OR 7 years relevant HR experience
Strong knowledge of federal HR policies and benefits programs; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interpret and apply HR regulations; proficient in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Advisory skills, problem solving
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management
Outstanding time management and prioritization abilities to meet project milestones
Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities
Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
U.S. Citizenship Required
Background Check And Drug testing
Preferred
Relevant professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR) is preferred
Understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio, and the ability to quickly learn other tools, as necessary
