The QA Tech is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products, compliance with specifications, and providing oversight and training to production personnel.

Responsibilities
Schedule Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure proper coverage for all shifts
Conduct internal quality systems and food safety audits; prepare summaries, develop corrective actions with department managers, and follow up on implementation
Ensure microbiological testing of finished goods, positive release, and timely customer communication (e.g., certificates of analysis)
Generate shelf-life reports to identify corrective/preventive actions
Investigate customer complaints in collaboration with QA Management
Review daily Quality and Food Safety records and file accordingly
Serve as backup to QA Lead in their absence
Manage weekly Pre-Requisite verifications and escalate issues to upper management
Perform other duties as assigned by Quality and Technical Services management
Adhere to all safety protocols, GMP standards, and company policies
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3–5 years in Quality Assurance within food manufacturing
Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety programs
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Proficient in record keeping and audit processes
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Must be able to bend, reach, push/pull heavy equipment, and work in varying temperatures (sub-0° to 85°F)
Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity required
Must have experience and have worked in food manufacturing
Relocate before starting work (Required)
