The Inventory & Procurement Specialist will coordinate purchasing and scheduling activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and products while maintaining cost objectives and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

Maintain minimal inventories to produce manufactured goods while maintaining lowest cost

Develops system(s) to provide evaluation of vendor selection and improvement(s) to existing reporting systems used to track and support inventory reporting and control

Draws up master schedule for processing and packaging of manufactured goods based on forecasted sales and establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders

Manages and improves supplier relationships and develops alternative sourcing, e.g. cost reductions, quality concerns, improvements in lead time reduction, and negotiating contracts

Required

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Extensive computer skills and thorough familiarity with MS Office or other computer software

Experience dealing in a multi-facility organization with various stakeholders

Solid organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations
