HRIS Analyst

Law Practice

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and maintain the firm’s Workday platform, ensuring data precision, system security, and compliance with both legal industry and regulatory standards
Analyze and resolve Workday-related issues, providing prompt and effective support to stakeholders across the firm
Develop and produce standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Workday’s reporting tools to support HR, talent management, and leadership initiatives
Maintains reports inventory, and updates as necessary to ensure reports are relevant and provide value
Audits human capital data to maintain and improve overall integrity of system data
Partner with HR, IT, and Payroll to implement new Workday modules, system upgrades, and integrations with other firm-specific platforms and third-party vendors
Document Workday-specific processes, workflows, and policies, ensuring clear communication and adherence to best practices
Monitors technology trends for Workday, and leverages user communities to maintain and expand knowledge base to enhance Workday capabilities
Conduct regular audits within Workday to maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy laws and firm policies
Develop and deliver advanced training, best-practice guidance, and process optimization recommendations to HR and business users
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of additional Workday tools, modules, or third-party integrations relevant to law firm operations
Evaluate Workday releases and HR technology trends, proactively recommending enhancements, deprecations, or architectural changes aligned with firm strategy
Creates test plans for stakeholder testing, as well as the validation of functionality
Configures and administers security, including new user set up
Collaborates with IT, Payroll, Finance, and other groups on HRIS/data related matters
Acts as second level of support for end-user issues; resolve or escalate as necessary

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Workday within an HR or IT function, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
Hands-on configuration experience with Workday Core HCM and modules such as Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Absence, and Advanced Reporting
Significant hands-on configuration experience with the Workday Benefits module would be especially desirable
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis, including complex formulas, data validation, reconciliation, and presentation for executive audiences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity to confidentiality and professionalism required in a legal setting
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Experience with HR process improvement and project management, preferably related to Workday or legal industry HR initiatives

Preferred

Experience and competence utilizing Workday Prism, or a similar data aggregation tool would be advantageous
Familiarity with Workday integration tools, APIs, and third-party connections used in law firms or similar settings
Understanding of compliance requirements relevant to law firms (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, data privacy) and industry-specific best practices
Workday certification (e.g., Workday Pro) or other relevant HRIS certifications are a plus
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous
