Responsibilities
Design, program, test, and commission PLC-based control systems
Develop and maintain HMI applications (FactoryTalk SE/ME, Wonderware, Ignition)
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and process control issues
Execute advanced troubleshooting to improve system reliability and performance
Specify, order, and manage materials and components for automation projects
Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and customers to deliver high-quality solutions
Communicate directly with customers to guide system upgrades and improvements
Plan and support preventative maintenance activities
Support automation network design and industrial communication protocols
Maintain compliance with company quality standards, safety policies, and OSHA requirements
Travel to project sites as needed (per diem provided for overnight travel)
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of experience with Rockwell Automation control platforms
Strong PLC programming skills (Rockwell Logix / RS5000 / RS500)
Experience with process control and logic controller systems
Proven expertise in industrial HMI development
Knowledge of automation networking, system architecture, and communication protocols
Cisco / Stratix industrial networking experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer-facing and interpersonal skills
Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and learning internal systems
Preferred
Cisco / Stratix industrial networking experience preferred
Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
