The University of Pennsylvania is a world-renowned leader in education, research, and innovation. They are seeking a Research Lab Tech C to perform technical processing of biospecimens and DNA isolations in the Penn Medicine BioBank, including blood, tissue, and bodily fluids.

Responsibilities
DNA isolation – manual and automated
Blood aliquotting and processing derivatives
Bodily fluid and tissue processing
Facilitate all aspects of sample inventory and distribution
Freezer monitoring and rotating on-call freezer response, general lab maintenance
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Candidates must have good communication skills
Applicant must be detail-oriented and able to work independently
Must possess ability to interact easily with clinical and research staff
Must possess superb time management skills; be well organized and highly motivated
Ability to communicate clearly, work with varying personalities, and manage multiple projects and duties at one time preferred
Physical requirements include frequent walking, bending, lifting of supplies and equipment (20-40 pound load), and manual dexterity to select small vials from frozen storage locations
