Responsibilities
P&L Leadership: Maintain full financial accountability for the region; review monthly performance metrics and drive improvements in revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and working capital
Operational Excellence: Partner with District Directors to ensure consistent practices, process efficiency, and alignment with corporate standards in safety, service, and profitability
Leadership Development: Build, mentor, and coach a high-performing leadership team; evaluate bench strength and develop succession and readiness plans
Sales & Market Growth: Lead regional business development efforts by supporting sales teams, strengthening key customer relationships, and driving market expansion
Strategic Initiative Execution: Serve as a field leader for enterprise initiatives (e.g., ERP, CRM, Safety, HR, integrations), ensuring effective adoption and change management throughout the region
Working Capital Management: Improve DSO, inventory turnover, backlog discipline, and margin integrity; hold branches accountable for strong financial practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and other functions to ensure alignment on corporate priorities
Culture & Engagement: Model organizational values and foster a positive, performance-driven culture across all teams and locations
Customer Excellence: Ensure districts deliver an outstanding customer experience; maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, contractors, and suppliers
Risk & Compliance Oversight: Enforce corporate governance, contract review standards, and safety requirements across regional operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field required
8–12 years of progressive management experience within distribution, construction materials, building products, or a similar environment
Demonstrated success leading multiple sites and managing managers
Proven track record in P&L management, sales leadership, and operational improvement
Strong business acumen with the ability to execute strategy effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to travel up to 50%
