The City of Houston is seeking a Customer Service Representative I for its Municipal Courts department. This role involves handling cash transactions, processing payments, and providing customer service to the public and court staff.

Responsibilities

Collection of fines, processing payments by cash, check, credit card and wire transfer

Process Parking Payments and schedule hearings

Data entry of payment and fees in the Court’s case management system

Act as a Passport Application Acceptance Agent by executing the passport application, ensure that the application form and supporting documents are correctly submitted, and collect passport fees

High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement. Dissemination of court information as required

Data entry of court records and transactions

Scanning of court documents into the Court’s case management system. Periodic rotation to alternate Court locations and/or sections

Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned

Must submit to annual background checks
