Responsibilities

Incoming Customer Service call assistance and resolution
Incoming call internal and external call routing
First Notice of Loss Report Intake
New Claim registration and assignment routing
Legal eBilling Invoice review
Assists with daily check processing
Assists with claim file maintenance
Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
Interact and work cooperatively with other departments
Facilitate inter-department information sharing and distribution
Assist with the distribution of physical material/media between multiple departments
Other duties as assigned

Required

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of two years' work experience within the insurance industry, property-casualty insurance, claims handling, or equivalent transferrable skills
Working knowledge of related computer applications and basic computer technologies
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people (internal and external) in an effective manner using reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to meet strict deadlines
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and directions
Self-motivated with an acute attention to detail
Customer Service oriented
Demonstrate professional oral and written communication skills
Be able to effectively manage time and priorities
Be able to problem solve and/or locate information quickly to resolve client or customer questions
Demonstrate a calm and understanding demeanor when assisting distraught customers or claimants
Have the potential/desire for advancement and development
Have to potential/desire to develop your industry IQ through training and continuing education

Preferred

Working knowledge of insurance company and/or agency operations and commercial claims handling
Experience or knowledge of emergency service organizations, public entities, or health care facilities
