Responsibilities
Lead and coach a team of claims professionals to achieve business results and deliver outstanding member experiences
Review claim files for quality and provide feedback to employees
Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and implement process enhancements
Drive organizational change, remove obstacles, and create conditions for success
Manage workload volumes, staffing, and training needs to maintain productivity
Monitor adherence to processes, guidelines, and compliance frameworks
Handle escalations and make decisions aligned with policy
Support career development through coaching, skill-building, and project involvement
Ensure risks are identified, monitored, and controlled in line with compliance standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience
6+ years of progressive experience in customer service, operations, or leadership, including 2+ years in claims handling
2+ years in a supervisory or management role
Strong data analysis and decision-making skills
Ability to obtain and maintain applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months
Preferred
Current experience as a Claims Manager or Supervisor
Expertise in complex auto coverage, liability decisioning, and physical damage/injury claims
Proven ability to coach and develop claims professionals
Military experience (service or spouse/domestic partner) is a plus
