The Senior Corporate Accountant will support the CFO/Controller by ensuring financial data integrity, engaging in financial reporting, cash application, and expense management, while also collaborating with various teams for budget creation and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

Plays a key role in the company’s month-end close process by posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and producing financial statements and related reporting including Annual Financial Statements and Tax Workpapers

Collaborates with the company’s Operations & Accounting teams to perform monthly variance analysis

Partners with Operational Department Managers to create the annual budget and mid-year forecast and ensure a successful completion

Understanding of accounting system setup (MRI) and other key systems for posting of entries to General Ledger and other Subledgers

Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies

Bank account reconciliations for corporate accounts

Assists with cashflow projections

Maintains department-level accounting and report distribution to department heads monthly

Prepares ad-hoc analyses and other projects as requested

Works independently to accomplish tasks timely and accurately

Interacts regularly with management, support staff, and outside parties

Records payroll summary entries including billings to subsidiaries and third parties

Assists with other projects as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Real Estate Property Management desirable but not required

5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles (corporate or public accounting)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit

Thoroughness and attention to detail

Strong analytical skills

Preferred

Experience with MRI, Nexus, and Concur

General ledger and month-end close experience
