$120K/yr - $145K/yrThe Tabletop Group is partnering with a high-performing bakery concept in Utah to hire a Director of Operations. This role is focused on owning field execution, building leaders, and driving store-level results while ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Lead store performance through clear expectations and consistent coaching
Improve speed, cleanliness, hospitality, and execution
Build simple operating rhythms and accountability
Protect freshness, presentation, portioning, and spec adherence
Partner with production and culinary to keep quality tight at scale
Own food safety and sanitation readiness
Hire, develop, and retain strong GMs and store leaders
Create scorecards, coaching routines, and performance follow up
Strengthen training and onboarding so new leaders ramp fast
Own store-level P and L drivers: labor, waste, inventory, throughput
Improve scheduling discipline and productivity
Reduce variance and tighten ordering systems
Lead openings and operational integration as we expand
Build playbooks and tools that scale across locations
Partner cross-functionally to ensure marketing, catering, and ops stay aligned
Quickly identify the biggest operational leaks and fix the basics
Establish weekly KPIs, store walk routines, and a leader 1 on 1 cadence
Stabilize labor and inventory controls while protecting product quality
Build a clear plan to scale the brand without losing what makes it special
Qualification
Required
Multi-unit operations leadership in a bakery, cafe, QSR, or fast casual environment
Proven ability to lead through people, not just by being the hero
Strong grasp of labor planning, inventory, food safety, and store execution
Comfort owning metrics and holding leaders accountable
Willingness to be in the field across Utah
Preferred
Scratch production or bakery adjacent experience
New store opening experience
Experience building training systems and playbooks that teams actually use
