Quality Control Manager
Inolex is a company focused on chemical manufacturing, and they are seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality control laboratory operations. The QC Manager will lead a team to ensure product quality and compliance with established standards while collaborating with various departments to support process improvements.

Responsibilities
Oversee the efficient daily operations of the quality control lab team while helping Operations to maintain effective and reliable production
Facilitate continuous improvement in lab procedures and practices
Interface with external laboratories as needed for any required testing
Lead, coach and inspire a team of 10-12 technicians, chemists and scientists to deliver timely and reliable quality data to support 24/7 chemical operations
Recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent while supporting the team’s professional growth
Implement training programs to assess competency before authorizing independent responsibility
Cultivate a healthy, engaging team environment that supports employee development and drives sustained productivity
Collaborate cross-functionally with EHS, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Success, R&D, Product Development, Sample Room, Quality Assurance, etc., to support process improvements and business goals
Track supplier performance and provide regular feedback to Supply Chain to drive improved raw material supply
Drive improvements in accuracy and precision in required test methods, and develop new/improved methods as needed
Support Inolex’s participation in ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001
Qualification
Required
Proven expertise in leading a Quality Control laboratory in the chemical industry
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring, project management, and cross-functional influence
Keen ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
Advanced degree in chemical science
Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent DMAIC process excellence capability
10+ years of laboratory work experience and minimum 5+ years managerial experience
5+ years quality control and analytical chemistry experience doing method development and validations in a GMP Manufacturing environment
Extensive experience running analytical equipment including and not limited to HPLC, GC, FTIR
Preferred
Experience working with external testing laboratories and contract manufacturing partners is highly desirable
