Responsibilities

Daily monitoring of Production Databases (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and Oracle infrastructure / OS level (Nagios, etc)

Identification and optimization of long running queries

Analysis of Journal Logs utilizing Siemens Journal Workbench

Collaboration with Architects/Support on changes

Review prior to making changes

Tracking of impact to ongoing production performance metrics post changes

Tuning / Engagement for development environments

Development and optimization of custom python scripts to ingest data into Snowflake

Data modeling and data transformation using SQL inside of Snowflake

Lead an agency staff to execute data lake projects using engineering and compliance data

Required

Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations

Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design
