Pediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist - Open Rank Fixed Term Faculty
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a global leader in higher education, known for its commitment to innovative teaching and research. The Pediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist will provide neuropsychological assessment and consultation services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurocognitive and neurobehavioral impairments, working closely with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Provide neuropsychological assessment and consultation services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with a variety of neurocognitive and neurobehavioral impairments
Work closely with interdisciplinary treatment teams and other UNC departments/programs, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Hematology/Oncology, and community providers
Conduct assessments for typical diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, sickle cell disease, neurogenetics, oncology treatment, and other forms of brain dysfunction
Provide surgical evaluations for epilepsy
Participate in administrative activities and research associated with academic appointment and areas of expertise
Provide training experiences for graduate students, psychology interns, and fellows as well as resident physicians
Qualification
Required
PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology/neuropsychology
Completed an APA-approved clinical internship with a neuropsychology emphasis
At least two years of supervised postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology
Licensed or license-eligible in the state of North Carolina
Preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A record of interdisciplinary collaboration
Desire to be involved in enhancing quality of patient care
