Intensive Outpatient Therapist – Adolescents

Responsibilities

Facilitate group therapy sessions for adolescents participating in the ASD + mental health IOP
Provide clinical support to teens and their families through structured group work and periodic family sessions
Conduct approximately 6–8 Level of Care Assessments per week based on program needs
Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and the treatment team
Evaluate behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs to inform treatment planning and service recommendations
Prepare therapeutic materials and ensure supportive, consistent facilitation aligned with evidence-based curriculum
Maintain timely and compliant documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, and discharge summaries
Perform insurance reviews and collect co-pays as applicable
Meet clinical productivity expectations consistent with a full-time schedule
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and required trainings
Provide crisis intervention and ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic group environment
Uphold ethical standards, support compliance, and contribute to positive program outcomes

Required

Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with clinical specialization), or related human services field, with completion of a clinical internship
Knowledge of adolescent mental health, neurodevelopmental disorders, and co-occurring conditions
Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and group facilitation
Ability to engage families and support generalization of skills to home and community environments
Strong documentation, organization, and time management skills
Commitment to trauma-informed and person-centered care

Preferred

Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or neurodiversity preferred
Previous experience with adolescent behavioral health, ASD/neurodevelopmental populations, or higher levels of care (IOP, PHP, inpatient, residential, or school-based) is strongly preferred
