Principal Project Engineer

The Principal Project Engineer will lead project planning and execution, ensuring engineering projects are completed within budget and on schedule while providing technical support and managing resources.

Responsibilities

Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management and troubleshooting for engineering projects
Performs Engineering work related to the facilitization of metal forming facilities
This role will assist the program managers and onsite production engineering team
This includes creation of Scopes of Work, reviewing contractor proposals, design reviews, and managing the performance of the various facilitization programs
Additionally, reviewing change orders and control the configuration of the drawings and design
Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints
Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance
Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems
Provides technical support for the engineering process
Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing the project
Monitors progress and performance against the project plan
Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project
Prepares engineering designs and work specifications
Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors
Track and Manage Risk Database

Required

Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience
Engineering degree required
