Genesis10 is seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Infrastructure Operations to join our client's Technology Services Group team. The role involves investigating and resolving Mainframe performance issues, proactively monitoring systems, and communicating with users to address performance concerns.

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve Mainframe performance issues
Proactively monitor the system to detect problems and to identify opportunities for improvement
Implement WLM changes as needed
Communicate with systems users to address mainframe performance or capacity consumption concerns and ensure that performance issues are handled appropriately

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
6-10 years of relevant experience
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
Experience in Mainframe Performance Tuning
Knowledge and experience with WLM
Knowledge of RMF/SMF systems metrics (CPU, Memory, I/O, Coupling Facility etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
