Responsibilities
Manage an active portfolio of small business and consumer loans and deposits
Achieve loan and deposit goals provided by management
Interview applicants, structure and negotiate loan terms, and analyze new and renewed loans
Review applications and financial information for completeness and follow up on any missing documentation
Prepare and send required disclosures in a timely manner to avoid exceptions
Conduct collateral and other analysis as needed to render a credit decision
Possess the ability and willingness to approve loans within loan authority
Actively participate in new business development program by identifying, developing and documenting calls on perspective clients to generate new loan and deposit opportunities
Manage the loan closing processing, which includes working directly with back office departments and third party vendors
Provide back up support for other branch functions
Participate in community activities and events
Obtain and retain product knowledge
Cross sell all company products and services
Handle customer problem resolution
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
2 years of banking, credit or other financial services experience required
Demonstrate high level of sales and service skills
Ability to analyze credit applications for completeness on all types of loans
Knowledge of Federal laws and regulations involving loans and deposits
Good decision making, planning and organizing skills
Technical knowledge and proficiency to handle the activities and responsibilities of the job
Effectively communicate with clients, branch personnel, officers and senior management
Professional verbal and communication skills
Professional sales ability
Preferred
College education preferred, but not required
Background in retail banking, consumer lending, and commercial lending preferred
