Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and inside-plant technicians
Define and execute a long-term network and inside-plant strategy aligned with business objectives
Design, implement, and scale resilient, secure, carrier-grade network architecture
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies including Segment Routing and advanced traffic engineering
Drive high availability, performance monitoring, and incident response across core and edge networks
Partner closely with Field Operations, NOC, and IT teams to ensure operational excellence
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, lab environments, and third-party services
Own budgeting, CapEx planning, and resource optimization for the network organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
15+ years of network engineering experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
Strong background in ISP / carrier network architectures and large-scale IP/MPLS environments
Hands-on experience with BGP, BGP-LS, IGP, MPLS-TE, EVPN, and PON technologies
Experience operating in a 24/7 production network environment
Preferred
Experience with Nokia Service Router platforms and SR OS (e.g., 7750 SR, 7250 IXR)
Exposure to Segment Routing (SR-MPLS and/or SRv6)
Experience with network automation, orchestration, and model-driven management
Relevant certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, Nokia SRA) or advanced degree
Knowledge of cloud networking, virtualization, and modern network security architectures
