Responsibilities
Design, write, and optimize SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures for DB2 and other relational databases
Ensure efficient query plans and performance tuning for DB2, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MSSQL environments
Provide technical guidance on database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization best practices
Monitor, diagnose, and resolve database performance issues , implementing proactive solutions to enhance efficiency
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to development teams on SQL and database-related implementations
Develop and maintain technical documentation , including database processes, procedures, and standards
Stay current with emerging database technologies, optimization techniques, and industry trends to continually improve system performance and reliability
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with DB2 development
Working knowledge of DBA responsibilities, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MSSQL
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical mentorship
