Systems Engineer
Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Engineer to join their Systems Engineering team to work on complex electronic surveillance systems for commercial and government customers. This role is critical to successfully developing products and executing projects to achieve Saab’s vision of safety. Responsibilities include technical development of radar software, performing investigations for new features, and supporting field teams during radar system deployments.

Responsibilities
Technical development of radar and radar data processing software to support air traffic control in the airport surface environment throughout the world
Performing technical investigations for new feature development and change requests from both internal and external customers
Developing and maintaining specifications and technical documentation to support customer deliverables and internal systems engineering processes
Support field teams during rapid deployment of radar systems
Domestic and international travel may be required, less than 15%
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline
1-3 years of relevant experience in safety critical or mission critical industries (e.g., aerospace, defense/military, medical, transportation, nuclear, etc.)
Familiarity with development of safety-critical software systems
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form productive relationships in a team environment
Experience with development of server software applications, particularly in Linux environments
Experience with data processing and tool development using MATLAB
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
Preferred
Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline
Experience with Eurocontrol, FAA, or other air traffic management procedures, operations, and systems
Experience with radar systems, sensor data processing, position estimation, tracking, sensor fusion, and/or air traffic data processing
Experience with networked computer systems and/or virtual machine environments
Experience with cybersecurity, system hardening, and/or intrusion testing
