Responsibilities
Define and establish datum schemes, tolerances, and dimensional requirements for assigned chassis commodities
Serve as the Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) Lead for feasibility and design assessments
Oversee and support the drawing check process for designated vehicle commodities
Define and implement effective measurement strategies
Review and approve fixtures in accordance with project and quality requirements
Support dimensional engineering deliverables throughout the vehicle development lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of chassis commodities and their role within overall vehicle requirements
Hands-on experience performing 1D and 3D tolerance stack-up analyses to assess design feasibility
Ability to organize and present complex technical information clearly and concisely
Experience supporting build issue troubleshooting and dimensional root cause analysis
Capability to train and mentor junior engineers
Advanced knowledge of GD&T, including creation, validation, and review of technical drawings
Proficiency in CATIA V5 and V6
Strong understanding of basic statistical concepts and process control
Experience with Variation Simulation Analysis (VSA) tools
Knowledge of measurement systems, manufacturing processes, and inspection methodologies
Understanding of dimensional engineering deliverables within automotive/vehicle development programs
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
6–8 years of experience in Dimensional Engineering / Dimensional Management
