Responsibilities

Identify stories by following social media, attending conferences, reading the literature, and cultivating sources in the field

Report and write stories, ranging from brief news items to features. Story types will include news, trends, narrative features, profiles, and career and community stories

Work with the Visuals team to come up with compelling ways to illustrate these often-abstract topics

Work with the social media producers to promote the AI coverage

Appear in short and long-form videos and podcasts as the face and voice of Science’s AI coverage
