Project Controls Coordinator
Risus Talent Partners is a stable and growing construction organization seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Coordinator. This role is essential for supporting the successful execution of commercial construction projects by maintaining administrative, financial, and systems controls for project teams.
Responsibilities
Set up, organize, and maintain complete project files and directories
Support contract preparation, routing, execution, and filing
Coordinate project kick-off meetings and track action items
Maintain task lists and support reporting for project teams
Maintain alignment and data accuracy across Procore, Sage, and HubSpot
Update commitment logs and ensure consistency with accounting records
Track change orders (pending, approved, rejected)
Ensure all changes include proper backup documentation, cost breakdowns, and schedule impacts
Provide visibility to project teams on change status and potential risks
Support billing and payment processes in coordination with accounting
Track and maintain insurance certificates, safety documentation, and subcontractor compliance records
Serve as a central administrative liaison between project teams, accounting, and operations
Communicate professionally with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Identify opportunities to improve administrative efficiency and documentation consistency
Support onboarding and training of new team members on systems and processes
Participate in project wrap-ups and lessons-learned initiatives
Qualification
Required
Procore and Sage experience
Ability to commute and work fully onsite in Joppa, MD
Experience with construction contracts
Great communication skills
5+ years of experience in construction administration or project coordination
Hands-on experience with Procore and Sage
Familiarity with construction contracts, change orders, and AIA documents
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to support multiple projects and work independently
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Experience using HubSpot
Background in commercial or modular construction
