Engineering Asst

Responsibilities
Work with a multidisciplinary team as an engineering assistant to staff members on multiple communication and sensing programs
Develop new expertise in the pursuit of solving unconventional problems
Contribute to the development, lab testing, and field testing of prototype communication and sensing systems
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Mobile Device Lab
Qualification
Required
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electronic systems
Experience with electrical and mechanical concepts pertaining to RF transmitters and receivers
Experience installing, deploying, and testing electronics equipment and systems
RF/Microwave lab skills with proficiency in the operation of lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, digitizer, arbitrary waveform generator, synthesizer, etc.)
Experience documenting designs and test results as well as keeping records of development, procurements, and shipments
An Associates Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in the field
Preferred
Familiarity with radio-frequency (RF) phenomenology and systems
An interest in field test deployments and experiment design
Experience providing technical support and advice to colleagues
