Architectural Project Lead
PDMS Design Group is seeking an experienced Project Lead to join their growing Architecture team. The role involves producing high-quality construction drawings, overseeing projects, mentoring designers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring responsiveness, accuracy, and trust
Assist the Project Manager in maintaining client schedules, scopes of work, quality standards, and project efficiency
Monitor project status, deadlines, landlord reviews, and city approvals, keeping Architecture and MEP Project Managers informed
Maintain and improve client templates, prototypes, checklists, and standards
Identify and correct errors proactively to prevent repeat issues across projects
Provide exceptional client service, responding to communications within four business hours
Mentor and support Designers by reviewing work, clarifying scope, and ensuring proper due diligence at project kickoff
Guide Designers in resolving project issues independently, including coordination with jurisdictions and consultants
Help Designers manage time, meet deadlines, and reduce repeat errors through constructive feedback
Support professional development and assist team members when workloads require additional drafting or coordination
Produce consistently high-quality construction documents across all assigned and non-assigned projects
Apply building codes, accessibility requirements, and site constraints with minimal supervision
Coordinate revisions with MEP Project Managers and track project changes and due dates
Assist with redlines, revisions, preliminary drawings, and problem-solving related to code, landlord, or design challenges
Track assigned projects, determine billable vs. non-billable work, and assist with project prioritization
Support project setup, documentation, file management, and purchase orders as needed
Contribute beyond assigned projects when required to keep work moving forward
Represent PDMS Design Group professionally with clients, consultants, and external partners
Participate in at least one additional operational responsibility within the office
Perform site surveys as required
Work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design (required)
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Solid understanding of construction documents, design processes, and project requirements
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask, take initiative, and work independently
Working knowledge of building and accessibility codes
