Responsibilities
Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions using CAD tools
Evaluate designs for functionality, manufacturability, cost, safety, and market needs
Work closely with customer engineering teams to gather requirements and propose design solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and manufacturing
Translate business/technical needs into actionable solution roadmaps
Propose and drive CAD–PDM integrated automation strategies
Take ownership of key deliverables and provide technical leadership
Analyze engineering workflows and identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort
Support CAD automation development exposure (good to have)
Build reusable and maintainable automation structures for long-term scalability
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering design automation
Provide support for CAD modelling, BOM generation, and ECN handling
Lead offshore teams through solution design, testing, and deployment
Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align automation goals and priorities
Prepare documentation and training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Mechanical Design, 3D Modelling, 2D Detailing, and New Product Design (NPD)
Strong hands-on CAD experience with: PTC Creo (Toolkit, JLink), SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor
Familiarity with tools like: MS Office, MS Project, Version Control Systems
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Preferred
CAD automation experience
Support for CAD modelling, BOM generation, and ECN handling
