Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes
Ensure data quality, integrity, reliability, and performance
Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files, streams)
Collaborate with analytics and business teams to support reporting needs
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows
Implement data security, governance, and compliance best practices
Automate data processing and deployments using CI/CD pipelines
Maintain clear technical documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational & NoSQL databases
Experience with ETL tools and frameworks
Programming experience in Python / Java / Scala
Knowledge of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas)
Familiarity with Linux and version control (Git)
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Hands-on experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka
Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse)
Knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
Understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
Exposure to real-time / streaming data pipelines
