Responsibilities

Prototype, develop, and support ML based rendering algorithms
Design and implement new MetalFX techniques
Tune MetalFX support for new SOCs and platforms
Develop the Apple Silicon GPU driver to support realtime ML workloads
Collaborate with industry specialists to design future generations of the Metal API, shading language, and Apple Silicon GPUs
Apply knowledge of computer graphics, operating systems, and machine learning to implement high performance software
Guide developers to tune their workloads for maximum performance and scalability on Apple’s platforms

Qualification

Required

GPU programming with Metal, DirectX, Vulkan, CUDA, Direct Compute, OpenGL, or OpenCL
Programming knowledge of C/C++ and Python
Knowledge of realtime graphics/image processing algorithms and machine learning
Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences to explain experimental outcomes and technical roadblocks
Technical BS/MS degree

Preferred

Experience with machine learning authoring frameworks such as PyTorch is a plus
