Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of sophisticated React-based annotation tools that combine polished user experiences with intelligent AI integration
Collaborate directly with product managers, designers, and end-users to understand annotation workflows, translate requirements into elegant web applications, and continuously improve tools that enhance annotator productivity worldwide
Implement pixel-accurate designs when specifications exist and exercise strong UX judgment when they don’t
Help shape frontend systems that scale gracefully, balancing user experience, maintainability, and performance
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience building and scaling production web applications in React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, and performance optimization
Expertise with modern frontend build tools and styling frameworks (e.g., Vite, Webpack, Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules) and strong grasp of modern JavaScript/CSS practices
Proven ability to translate design specifications into pixel-perfect UI implementations and to make thoughtful, user-centered UI/UX decisions when specifications are incomplete
Demonstrated experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and end-users to deliver high-quality, customer-facing web applications
Solid understanding of frontend architecture and modular design principles (e.g., design systems, component reuse, scalability)
Preferred
Experience designing or implementing multi-tool or modular frontend systems that support evolving product workflows
Expertise building annotation, labeling, or complex data-visualization tools
Experience integrating AI/ML models or SDKs into frontend applications
Strong performance optimization skills in data-heavy, real-time, or media-rich web applications
Experience developing or maintaining shared design systems or component libraries
Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, VS Code extensions) to accelerate coding tasks while maintaining code quality
