As a Structural Design Engineer, you will collaborate with engineering and CAD teams to prepare engineering and drawing submittals, perform structural analysis and design, and coordinate with sales and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Assist the field sales team in seamlessly integrating Contech's products into site plans, focusing on Contech's precast concrete bridge products. This involves preparation of engineering drawings and calculations, review of project plans, development of project solutions, and providing technical advice

Perform structural analysis and design of bridge elements, including superstructures, foundations, and retaining walls. Provide essential technical support to the manufacturing team as needed to ensure the proper fabrication of Contech products

Coordinate efforts with field sales and manufacturing teams to address questions and concerns related to the proper design, manufacture, and installation of Contech's products

Maintain a working knowledge of governing specifications covering Contech products and contribute to the development, writing, and modification of such specifications

Assist in writing and developing technical papers and product literature necessary to support, promote, and train stakeholders on Contech products

Stay updated with knowledge and certifications in the civil/structural engineering field. Attend industry trade shows, continuing education courses, and seminars as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering required, strong preference for degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis

Minimum 2-years of experience working on civil engineering projects

Proficiency with MS Office and Excel required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to develop and maintain strong team and client relationships

High level of analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred

EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification preferred

Experience with AutoCAD, finite element analysis, and/or structural analysis software is preferred
