Responsibilities

Review prime contract and subcontract details for specifications and requirements
Conduct quality activities aligned with project scope as per the contract terms and conditions
Review the project specifications and identifies quality requirements
Perform visual examination, witnesses, monitors and document as per project quality and inspection testing plans (ITPs)
Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacements (IND)
Produces and/or collects quality turnover documentation
Act as liaison with craft personnel to broaden technical knowledge
Completes documentation of mock-ups (BLDG)
Works with field management to ensure the protection of finished work
Constant Walking and Climbing throughout the day
Knowledge of Structural Steel Connections along with Welding inspections

Required

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in quality control relative to heavy industrial construction
basic knowledge of construction industry, understands specifications, methods and procedures
Proficient knowledge of codes related to Industrial Construction
basic construction inspection skills
strong attention to detail
excellent record keeping skills
effective verbal and writing communication skills
Must have current AWS QC-1 CWI Certification
