Responsibilities

This position will maintain records and P/M on all equipment assigned to the trails position
This position advises management concerning major maintenance needs, request, status of active projects and completion of informal contracts

Required

Associates degree in construction management, air conditioning, heating and refrigeration technology, industrial maintenance technology or mechanical engineering technology from an appropriately accredited institution AND three (3) years of progressive experience in construction or facility maintenance including two (2) years of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities
OR High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma AND five (5) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction including journey level experience in at least three (3) building or mechanical trades including two (2) years of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities
OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have a valid driver's license issued from within the United States or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment
Within 12-24 months of hire date, must have the ability to obtain and maintain: Class A CDL, CPR Certification, Emergency Medical Responder Certification, Wildland Fire Suppression Certifications, Certified in S212 Chainsaw Operations Training - perform hazardous tree assessments and if necessary, tree removal within the park

Preferred

Demonstrated experience of building codes, environmental rules as well as rules and regulations governing repair, maintenance and construction of facilities
Demonstrated experience with various types of trail systems such as: hiking, bike, equestrian, and/or multi use trails
Demonstrated experience of carpentry skills at journeyman level for maintenance and construction of bridges, boardwalks, retaining walls, piers, and/or other wood structures related to trails and trail systems
Demonstrated experience with equipment operation skills at journeyman level for excavators, backhoes, track loader, compactors, tractors, ATV's, bulldozer, and/or other equipment related to trail maintenance and construction
Demonstrated experience completing cost and cost assessments in detail related to trail maintenance and construction

A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is being offered for eligible candidates.
