Strategic Account Manager
Valpak is a company focused on multi-channel advertising solutions, and they are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to oversee their strategic and national accounts. This role involves ensuring the successful execution of advertising programs while maintaining strong client relationships and optimizing account performance.
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic account partner to clients and Sales leadership by providing proactive guidance, campaign oversight, and recommendations that align with broader business objectives
Maintain deep expertise across Valpak Clipp products and solutions, serving as the primary implementation authority and operational subject matter expert for strategic accounts
Own end-to-end administration of complex, multi-market campaigns, ensuring accuracy in creative execution, targeting strategy, production schedules, and fulfillment
Partner closely with Account Executives and Sales Directors to ensure account strategies are executed consistently and efficiently across all markets and channels
Establish and maintain standardized processes, documentation, and product resources to support scalable execution and consistent client communication
Monitor campaign performance, contractual obligations, revenue pacing, and deliverables; proactively identify risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities
Produce reporting, market analysis, and performance insights to support informed decision-making, renewals, and other opportunities
Coordinate cross-functionally with Creative, Production Operations, Data, and Finance teams to align execution with client expectations and contractual requirements
Participate in strategic sales planning, account reviews, and client-facing discussions as the operational and product expert, supporting retention and long-term growth
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance account efficiency, service quality, and overall client satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in strategic account support, operations, or project management
Demonstrated experience supporting complex or national accounts within media, marketing, or advertising environments
Proven ability to manage strategic client relationships with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach
Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into executable campaign plans
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-value accounts simultaneously
Clear, confident communicator with experience supporting client presentations and executive-level discussions
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, and quality control capabilities
Working knowledge of print, digital, mobile, and social advertising platforms
Preferred
Background in data analysis, consumer insights, retail, CPG, or enterprise-level account support strongly preferred
Experience with Salesforce.com and SAP preferred
