Responsibilities

Film short-form vertical (9:16) content highlighting student life, campus culture, academics, athletics, and events
Create trend-based content using relevant audios, memes, and POV formats
Capture real-time moments on campus (weather, spontaneous happenings, events)
Upload raw footage, photos, or finished videos to the shared creator folder or shared iPhone album for immediate use by the flagship team
Participate in biweekly idea-pitching sessions or provide on-the-spot ideas via group chat
Proactively identify trends on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts that fit the UNC Charlotte brand
Work closely with the flagship social media team for approvals, creative direction, and feedback
Follow UNC Charlotte brand guidelines, safety expectations, and privacy requirements when filming on campus
Respond promptly to messages, deadlines, and assignments
Maintain professionalism when representing UNC Charlotte in any capacity

Required

Must be a current UNC Charlotte student
Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing preferred
Strong creativity, visual storytelling skills, and familiarity with short-form social platforms
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and take direction
Portfolio
Comfort being on camera and/or filming others

Preferred

Experience in TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts creation
Basic editing abilities (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.)
Interest in marketing, digital storytelling, or social media strategy
Reliability and strong communication skills
