The Technician II assists the Engineering Department by installing equipment and connecting voice, wireless, and data endpoints with network connections, while also performing various tasks assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Verifying service by testing and re-programming equipment as necessary with guidance from a lead engineer

Identifying and correcting problems; conferring with engineers as needed

Testing network connectivity and updating documentation

Maintaining customer rapport by listening, resolving concerns, and answering questions

Maintaining a safe work environment by following published standards and policies

Updating knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and/or reading technical publications

Enhancing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Required

High school diploma or equivalency required

One (1) or more years of similar or related work experience

Understanding of telecommunications technologies and products

Good decision-making skills

Ability to maintain professional internal and external relationships
