Responsibilities
Account rounding opportunities via cross-selling opportunities with current customers
Assist in marketing new and re-marketing for renewal business
Marketing to new prospections with networking groups, drop-ins, email campaigns, cold call, and other forms of prospecting
Maintain an impeccable system for follow up on correspondence, reports, and overdue, and urgent items
Perform other related duties as assigned that will help enhance the agency’s operations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred)
Previous experience in a similar role
Achieving and maintaining a professional designation will be required within 5 years for professional development and knowledge
2 (two) years being licensed in the commercial insurance field is a minimum
Strong understanding of personal lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to interact professionally with clients, coworkers, and management
Excellent time management
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Attention to detail and accuracy
Team player with a positive attitude
Dependable and punctual
Problem-solving mindset
Basic math skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks
Maintain a code of ethics with all departments of insurance standards and abide of all governmental bodies laws and regulation
Act in accordance with all insurance carriers' procedures and guidelines
Maintain active insurance licenses with each state approved in and maintain proper continuing education in each of those states
Be cheerful and energetic with each conversation you have
Preferred
associate or bachelor's degree
Management system operations such as EZLynx is a plus
Familiarity with office equipment (printers, copiers, fax machines)
Basic knowledge of database and record management
