Cyber Defense Operator
Altice USA is a leader in connectivity solutions, and they are seeking a Cyber Defense Operator to help protect their telecommunications network from cyber threats. The role involves monitoring security alerts, investigating potential threats, and supporting incident response efforts, providing an opportunity for hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
Communications Infrastructure
Responsibilities
Triage security alerts and logs escalating suspicious activity
Assist in investigating and responding to potential cyber threats
Support vulnerability assessments and help track security risks
Research emerging cybersecurity threats and report findings
Work with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and Email protection
Help maintain documentation for security incidents and processes
Qualification
Required
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or relevant experience)
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related role
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles
Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, antivirus, firewalls) is a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Certifications (Preferred but not required): CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar entry-level cybersecurity certification
