Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of industrial processes and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations
Analyze performance data, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and profitability
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to develop engineering solutions, create detailed drawings, and support process validation and continuous improvement
Participate in risk analysis, incident investigations, and process hazard reviews to maintain compliance and drive operational excellence
Monitor unit performance, resolve abnormal process problems, and support field operations during upsets or operational changes
Develop project ideas, assist with turnaround planning, and manage the selection and tracking of catalysts and chemicals
Optimize unit operations for maximum economic benefit, support budget development, and investigate variances to keep expenses on track
Stay current on technical trends and best practices, serving as a key technical contact and fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the refinery

Required

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodations, to comply with the following: Travel up to 5%, Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform occasional duties, Transport articles up to 50 pounds, Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet, Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions, Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment, Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
3 or more years of engineering experience in the Energy industry
Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline

Preferred

Possess a valid driver's license
5 or more years of Process Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry
Accepts ownership, is accountable and delivers on commitments
Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply practical solutions in the field
Ability to manage a large workload and changing priorities
Strong and effective communication skills (verbal and written) in both individual and group settings
Knowledge of pSm
Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial setting
Ability to work on cross discipline teams
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate work with both hourly and salaried employees
