Responsibilities
Repair molds as needed, repair or build jigs and fixtures as required
Inspects completed molds for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect the molds functionality
Operate a Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, and surface grinder
Uses computer-aided design (CAD/CAM) software to create designs and/or turn designs into blueprints as required
Keep all shop machinery clean, maintained and in proper working order
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace
All other duties assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Mold building and machining experience required
Overhead hoist operation and safety regulations required for mold repair and PM's
Standard Mold Preventive maintenance and repairs
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving
Operation of Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, and surface grinder
Preferred
Successful completion of an apprentice program or experience in the field preferred
CNC operating and programming experience preferred
Common operating systems
Software proficiency
Technical writing
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Understanding of safety and equipment procedures
