Workers Compensation Defense Attorney
Rahimi & Israel Law, APLC is a boutique law firm specializing in the defense of employers and insurance companies in workers' compensation claims. They are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney who will manage a caseload with minimal supervision and provide strategic legal advice throughout the litigation process.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, including case analysis, strategy development, and resolution
Provide legal advice to clients on case strategy, settlement options, and risk management
Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB)
Draft and file legal documents including motions, briefs, pleadings and settlement agreements
Negotiate settlements and favorable outcomes on behalf of clients
Negotiate and resolve liens
Keep clients informed on case developments, deadlines, and strategy adjustments
Stay current with California workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and trends
Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and timely updates on case progress
Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide effective legal representation
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in the State Bar of California
7+ years of experience practicing workers' compensation defense law
Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and WCAB procedures
Proven ability to handle a growing caseload and complex litigations matters
Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal writing skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
