Core States Group designs, builds, and manages programs and projects across North America, and they are seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead and oversee all activities within the mechanical engineering discipline. This role focuses on business development strategies, sales forecasting, and the financial and operational management for the mechanical engineering team.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical engineering consulting process, identifying the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships, effective communication, and the delivery of exceptional service to clients

Participate in business development efforts, including attending marketing functions, industry events, and cross marketing with other offices

Oversee initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements

Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants

Manage and provide leadership to Senior Program Managers and Program Managers. Ensure project timelines are met and effectively communicated back to clients

Analyze data to support decision-making and implement best practices aligned with key performance indicators and company goals

Oversee multiple programs with diverse clients concurrently

Collaborate with other Core States Group Directors on multi-disciplinary projects

Mentor, develop, and support staff, fostering professional growth and team performance

Communicate personnel needs to the Senior Director of Engineering and Human Resources, and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required

Licenses: P.E. required

15+ years of mechanical engineering project and/or program management, preferably with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants

8+ years of supervisory experience

MS Office required, familiar with AutoCAD and Revit a plus
