Responsibilities
Full Stack Ownership: Lead architecture, development, and maintenance of the entire web stack, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and seamless integration across all Bitcoin.com properties
MPC Wallet Integration: Drive end-to-end integration of our multi-party computation (MPC) wallet account system across all platforms, enabling secure, unified user experiences
Affiliate Business Enhancement: Oversee major upgrades to our igaming affiliate program, including seamless account linkage, frictionless onboarding from affiliate referrals, and incentives (better deals, cashback tied to external activity)
Personalization & User Behavior Tracking: Implement robust, data-driven user analytics to power personalized experiences across site content, promotions, email campaigns, and news feeds
AI-Enabled Development Pipeline: Embed specialized AI agents throughout the engineering and content workflow, including: Dedicated SEO agent for ongoing optimization, Dedicated compliance agent to enforce regional rules and regulations (e.g., content restrictions, data privacy)., Agents for site performance monitoring, UI/brand consistency reviews, and automated code/build assistance
New Product & Feature Expansion: Lead delivery of new web capabilities, including CMS platforms, payment rails, localization infrastructure, and emerging AI-driven features
Team Leadership & Velocity: Manage and mentor distributed engineering teams across news, education, marketing, affiliates, and product promotion areas. Set and maintain a culture of high-volume, high-velocity delivery while remaining a hands-on contributor who leads by example
Data-Driven Scaling: Use metrics and analytics to guide decisions, rapidly scale the team through strong hiring, and aggressively incorporate AI tools into workflows to sustain velocity as the platform grows
Project Lifecycle Management: Initiate projects from scratch, define roadmaps, coordinate cross-functionally, and drive completion amid competing priorities
Qualification
Required
8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in technical leadership roles overseeing full web stacks (frontend, backend, DevOps, databases)
Proven track record of building with AI—deeply AI-native with extensive daily use of tools such as Claude, Cursor, Gemini, and other leading AI coding/assistant platforms integrated into your personal and team workflow
Hands-on engineer who actively codes, reviews, and contributes while leading teams
Demonstrated ability to operate at high volume and high velocity, setting those standards across teams
Strong expertise in modern web technologies (e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, cloud infrastructure)
Highly data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform architecture, prioritization, and personalization
Experience integrating secure wallet/authentication systems (crypto/fintech a plus; MPC knowledge a plus)
Expertise in personalization engines, user behavior tracking, and recommendation systems
Proven success embedding AI agents into CI/CD, review, and compliance processes
Strong background in SEO, performance optimization, accessibility, and regional compliance
Experience building/scaling CMS, payment integrations, and internationalization
Comfortable scaling teams through hiring and AI augmentation while maintaining velocity
Mandatory significant overlap with European and Asia time zones; proven experience managing globally distributed teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Prior experience in any: cryptocurrency, ecommerce, fintech, affiliates, or high-traffic media/news platforms
Familiarity with affiliate tracking, cashback mechanics, and referral systems
Contributions to open-source projects or active presence in the crypto/AI community a plus
