Business Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive analysis, advice, and actively participates in special projects, management issues, and executes day-to-day operational functions to ensure continuity of operations. Develops budget, financial, and program data
Develops, evaluates, and improves business processes, including hiring policies and procedures, budget formulation and execution, financial management, and correspondence concurrence
Prepares budget decision-making analysis and documents for leadership approval, as part of the budget formulation process
Conducts special projects and strategic analysis on a broad range of classified, confidential, sensitive projects or assignments, involving controversial issues of public interest and complex subject matter, to resolve unyielding problems
Assists with generating GSA Orders and realignment orders which involve creation, analysis, review, and issuance tasks to ensure the directive is properly prepared and contains understandable and complete technical content

Required

US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
Provide strategic direction and analytical requirements for the planning and evaluation of budget operations
Advise on financial management, strategic planning, communication strategies
Implement operating procedures, management controls, business processes, and administrative coordination
Monitor and evaluate internal, regional, enterprise-wide programs and initiatives
Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service
