Rothoblaas is a global company specializing in innovative solutions for timber construction and fall protection systems. They are seeking a Structural Applications Engineer to serve as a technical point of contact, support projects with engineering input, and develop documentation for client adoption of their solutions.

Responsibilities
Serve as the technical point of contact for structural engineers, designers, builders, and internal teams on timber structures and Rothoblaas connection solutions
Support projects with practical engineering input: connection detailing guidance, constructability/problem-solving, and code-aligned solution pathways (as applicable)
Partner with Technical Sales by joining key technical meetings and helping translate project needs into clear technical recommendations
Develop engineering documentation that enables client adoption of Rothoblaas solutions, including design guides, typical details, calculation templates, technical notes, and project checklists
Prepare and deliver technical trainings (in-person and online) and create usable educational materials for customers and internal teams
Collaborate with Product Engineering and Marketing on technical tools and documentation (catalogs, data sheets, details, software inputs)
Expand capability into adjacent technical areas by working with (and learning from) specialists in acoustics engineering and building science to support whole-system performance
Contribute to innovation by collecting market feedback, tracking competitor approaches, and proposing new applications and improvements
Qualification
Required
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline
Experience in structural design, consulting, or construction engineering, or strong competence in timber/wood structures
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, engineer-facing documentation
Comfortable presenting technical concepts in meetings, trainings, and conference settings
Familiarity with U.S. building codes and standards relevant to structural work, or highly motivated to develop this expertise quickly
Possession of a valid driver's license
