Responsibilities

Advising on compliance with existing and emerging privacy law frameworks in the US

Represent clients in privacy and data security litigation matters

Developing compliance plans and negotiating information privacy-compliant agreements

Handling regulatory investigations related to privacy and data security issues

Drafting and reviewing privacy-related agreements, such as data protection agreements and terms of service

Staying current with global privacy regulations and emerging trends in cybersecurity

Representing clients in negotiations and regulatory proceedings related to privacy and cybersecurity

Represent clients in privacy and data security-related disputes, including class actions and regulatory investigations

Manage cases involving data breaches, consumer protection issues, and unfair trade practices

Qualification

Required

Minimum 5+ years of Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Law Experience

Strong knowledge of existing and emerging data privacy and information security laws such as GDPR, CCPA, COPPA

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead and manage significant projects

Tech fluency and understanding of cyber and privacy issues

Client engagement and relationship-building skills

Strong experience across investigations and discovery, pleadings, depositions, arguing motions and client communication

Candidates must be admitted in the state they reside

Preferred

Portable Business would be ideal but not a necessity

CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or other relevant privacy certifications are a plus
