The role involves managing full-cycle bookkeeping, overseeing payroll operations, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and monthly/annual financial reporting
Oversee outsourced payroll operations including data entry, review, approvals, reconciliations, and journal entry posting to ensure accuracy and compliance
Leverage Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) for financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and operational support
Serve as a professional liaison with vendors, clients, and team members via phone and email
Provide leadership with financial insights and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
Collaborate with our accountant on annual tax return preparation and review
Provide general office and administrative support including scanning, filing, and document management
Qualification
Required
3+ years of bookkeeping experience (manufacturing, distribution, or technical services a plus)
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks for full-cycle bookkeeping
Comfortable working with Excel and Google Workspace for spreadsheets, data analysis, and reporting
Experience managing outsourced payroll processes and reconciliations
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Professional communication skills with a friendly, collaborative approach
Preferred
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
Familiarity with payroll platforms (we use Business Online Payroll by Paychex)
